Site (Pool) Manager Job Duties:
- Prevent accidents and emergencies at the swimming pool by maintaining a safe environment, enforcing pool rules and company policies, and reporting any unsafe situations
- Respond as trained in the case of an emergency
- Assist lifeguards in enforcing pool rules effectively, courteously, and consistently
- Serve in a lifeguard role if necessary due to sick call-outs or other circumstances
- Interact professionally and respectfully with members, guests, and facility personnel
- Participate in staff meetings, manager meetings, audits, and in-service trainings
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free pool and deck area
- Encourage and motivate the lifeguard staff to perform at a high standard
- Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures, report employee infractions
- Participate in the annual Lifeguard Olympics on a team
Position Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience as an American Red Cross lifeguard or 1 year within SELA Aquatics as a lifeguard
- Must be at least 18 years old by May 1, 2022
- Must be available to work Memorial Day weekend (Friday - Monday), July 2-5, and Labor Day weekend (Friday- Monday)
- Must limit vacation time to 10 days or less unless prior written approval is granted at the time of hiring
- Must be American Red Cross lifeguard certified
Schedule:
Exact schedule depends on facility placement. 30-40 hours per week, summer seasonal. Managers are expected to be on duty during peak times (weekends, events, holidays).
NOTE: All candidates for pool manager will automatically be considered for a head lifeguard position. Do not apply for both a head guard and a pool manager position.
